A product of the GFC, Matthew forged a career as a digital designer in an era which saw others standing still or moving backwards.
Matthew’s involvement with digital design blossomed as a consequence of managing several successful accounts while working as a digital designer at a leading Sunshine Coast creative agency which he co-founded in 2010.
Driven by his constant need to take on a bigger challenges, Matthew successfully launched The Design Conference in 2011. This internationally renowned art, design and business event has featured over 100 nationally and internationally acclaimed creative thinkers and designers, many of whom are now represented by Analogue Digital Agency.
Matthew’s other passions lie in developing new businesses and curating bespoke brand experiences. As creative director of The Design Conference it is his role to push the boundaries of community engagement and product education on behalf of his global event partners.
Over and above these primary pursuits, Matthew is also a dedicated advocate for Australian design. Holding council positions within the Australian Graphic Design Association (AGDA) and the Brisbane Advertising and Design Committee, he makes useful, highly valuable contributions to the evolution of design in Australia through his tightly focused obsession with design and forward thinking.
A recent recipient of the Judges’ Choice prize at the 2016 AGDA awards, Matthew is a bright, hard working talent on the rise, who balances his forward thinking with his colourful past as an professional baseballer with the Cleveland Indians.
